Cookware Gets the Fashion-Treatment With These Designer Collabs Humble kitchen gadgets, like Tupperware, knives, and blenders, have been slowly but surely getting a fashionable overhaul. When Dolce & Gabbana first collaborated with Smeg in 2018 on a collection of maximalist, countertop-worthy toasters, electric mixers, and blenders, fashion-forward kitchen gadgets instantly became the next thing to covet. Now, Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg are in the third iteration of their ongoing collaboration, Prada has recently released a set of flatware (complete with a leather carrying case), Off-White has delved into kitchen essentials with beautiful pitchers, mugs, and plates, Gucci has released ornate tea sets and statement-making plates, Brunello Cucinelli has minimalist chopstick and glassware sets, and the list goes on.
Most recently, Rhude collaborated with Instant brands on a kitchenware collection that includes glass Pyrex dishes, a Chicago Cutlery chef’s knife, an Instant Pot pressure cooker, and a set of plates that look like art but are dishwasher and microwave safe. And it’s all emblazoned with the brand’s logo.
With more time spent at home than ever before, it’s no wonder fashion brands are designing aesthetically-pleasing kitchenware. And did we mention that they make for great gifts this upcoming holiday season, too?
