Las Vegas (KLAS) – Travel will soon be a bit more expensive for those who need to apply for or renew their passport.
Starting Monday, December 27th, US passport booking fees will increase by $ 20 for all customers.
According to a State Department tweet, “To continue creating one of the safest travel and ID cards in the world, we need to raise fees.”
An adult passport for the first time or a replacement is $ 165 and a passport renewal is $ 130.
Travelers under the age of 16 pay $ 135. The State Department states that it currently owns the application in 8-11 weeks.
